Most people choose the electric shaver over the standard razor. This is because electric shavers are not prone to inflicting all kinds of cuts that you would experience with a regular razor. Just remember that shaver blades can cause more harm than good if you’re not paying attention!
Electric shavers come in the plug in type, or the rechargeable type so that there is no annoying cord to have to deal with. They also come with a huge amount of different electric shaver blade types. Some are triple headed, double headed, and of course single headed shaver blades. You will also have to decide on whether you wish to have a foil razor or a rotating one.
Foil is a plus when it comes to electric shaver blade types. The foil keeps you from cutting yourself by covering the blade. It has holes cut into it so that your whiskers will be able to pass through, ensuring that you will get a decent shave out of your device.
Of course triple headed rotating electric shaver blade types will give you the closest shave, though cleaning them is difficult as the pieces of whiskers are tiny miniscule specks after you are done shaving. Some people prefer the electric shaver blade types that move side to side instead, but unless you shave every day, you may find that this turns out to be a painful procedure. If a whisker is long enough, it will catch in between the foil and the blade, yanking out the whisker by the root. If you do shave every day, though, or even if you have a very sensitive skin, you will find that foil shaver blades can give you an excellent shave and will not irritate your skin as much as rotating foils.
If you want a really close shave then you can try triple rotary blades. Their floating heads are able to move across every part of your face evenly, and they’ll give you a close shave. Fortunately they don’t yank your hairs out either, so it’s something that you might want to look into.
For those who have more of a medium set of whiskers, the single foil shaver blades come highly recommended. They won’t give a close shave, but that’s great for someone that happens to have sensitive skin.
As with anything else, the more sophisticated your razor is, the more expensive it is going to be. There are many new attachments which can be purchased for the razor. Some of these can include travel cases, lotion dispensers, cleaning kits, battery lights, multi adapters, etc.
Not everyone is going to need the multiple plugs that come will travel kits. They will only be really useful if you’re going to travel to a country that uses a different plug system. If you’re a traveler then you won’t just find these handy, you’ll find them to be quite necessary.
