You have probably noticed that there are a lot of harmful chemicals and products available to treat pimples. These ingredients may work, but they contain ingredients that can harm your skin and have side effects that may be damaging to your skin or your body. You should learn how to treat pimples the natural way.

The first step towards eradicating pimples is to adopt a positive attitude. Almost everyone suffers from some degree of acne, especially in their teen years. Accepting this may quiet your urge to try risky and useless tricks.

That being said, there are natural ways that you can reduce or prevent the appearance of pimples. Most of the simply help your body to do its job of fighting the infections that cause acne.

Wash your face every day with hot water and ordinary soap. Soaps that are full of fragrances and oils will lead to blocked pores. Soaps that claim to prevent acne may dry out your skin, which will only cause it to produce more oil, which can lead to more pimples. Stick with the basics.

Be sure that you eat a healthy diet that is low in sugary food and unhealthy food. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Try to stay away from soda and other sugary drinks. Choose water to drink because it will help keep your skin well hydrated and free of toxins, which can help prevent pimples.

Use a hot compress on your pimples. This will not only draw the infection to the surface and out of your pore, it also works to bring the blood towards the surface. The more blood flow to the surface of the pimple, the faster that it will heal. You should be aware that once you remove the compress, the pimple can look bigger, but it will go down. This is normal, and when the temperature of your skin cools back down, it will fade.

When you know how to prevent pimples and when you keep your body and skin healthy, you are on your way to getting rid of them. When you keep your body healthy, it can be more effective by itself, without the use of harsh, and potentially damaging, chemicals.
